Slideways Go Karting World is your go to high speed, high grip, outdoor Go Karting venue on the Gold Coast!
Unlike our indoor centres, Go Karting World focuses on traditional grip Go Karting providing the perfect combination of speed and finesse on a track layout that provides a fun challenge! Reaching up to speeds of 70 km/h the fast straights and banked corners will satisfy your need for speed.
Your safety is our priority with all Go Karts fitted with a seat belt, roll bar and bumper protectors, and Slideways Go Karting world is the perfect venue for all ages, with kids as young as 7 years old able to Go Karting and Dual Karts available for the even smaller ones.
Conveniently located just off the M1, 2 mins north from Dreamworld, providing easy access from all Brisbane, Gold Coast and Logan Regions. Take exit 54 off the M1 and follow the signs!
Our High Speed Track
Slideways Go Karting World is your go to for traditional high speed Go Karting fun!
The track is 700m long, and features massive undulations, banked corners, sweepers and fast straights! So whether you are a beginner or a pro, this track is sure to get you excited!
Race up to 16 karts on the track at one time and all digitally timed down to 1/1000th of a second. No group is too big or too small, we have a range of group packages, but can also customise a package to suit your needs and budget. So bring your mates down and see who really is the fastest!
Our Go Karts
Our track is designed for the real racing enthusiast, but we know you can’t just have a cool track, you need quality karts to go with it.
We believe that to be the best, you have to use the best equipment. We only use the finest Sodi European Karts. All karts are fitted with the latest safety equipment, to ensure peace of mind for every racer! Our Go Karts are also fitted with individual timing transponders, so you can receive all your lap times, down to 1/1000th of a second!! Whether you want to come down on your own and set a hot lap, race a few friends, organise a bucks party, birthday party or corporate event Slideways Go Karting World have got you covered on the Gold Coast.
We import our Sodi Karts direct from Europe because we believe they are the “Mercedes Benz” of hire karts. No other manufacturer has the same quality and reliability to perform! Fitted with a 9HP Honda engines, our karts are guaranteed to perform, propelling you up to 70kph in no time, which is the fastest legal speed for hire karts, but believe us, that’s pretty quick when you are racing side by side with your mates on our challenging layout!
We also have Cadet and Intermediate and dual karts available for use during our kids and family sessions. The Sodi Two Drive is widely acclaimed as the best dual kart in the world, with incredible performance that shines on our full three level indoor drift kart track! Featuring the latest safety and ergonomics, the kart gives the real racing experience.
The dual kart can share the track with Cadet and Intermediate karts, is ideal for training purposes, and is suitable for those who are not confident driving themselves.
Age, Height & Weight Requirements
We have 2 types of sessions a “Family session” & “Pro Session”
Family Sessions are for anyone who meets the minimum age and height requirements. The Intermediate Go Karts are physically the same as Pro Karts but are rev limited to ensure everyone in the Family has a good time.
Pro Sessions are for anyone who meets the minimum age and height requirements and therefore are able to experience the Pro Kart at its full potential.
All karts have a maximum driver weight of 130kg.
Pro Karts
- 14 years old or older.
- 145cm tall or taller.
- Maximum Driver weight 130kg
- Our top-level racing karts.
- Only used during "Pro" sessions.
Intermediate Karts
- 11 years old or older.
- 145cm tall or taller.
- Maximum Driver weight 130kg
- Rev limited Pro Karts.
- Only used during "Family" sessions.
Cadet Karts
- 7 years old or older.
- 120cm tall or taller.
- Maximum driver weight 130kg
- Lets youngsters have fun karting.
- Only used during "Family" sessions.
Dual Karts
- Passenger 4 years old or older, and at least 100cm tall.
- Driver over 18 years old, minimum height 145cm.
- Max combined driver/passenger weight 130kg.
- The Sodi 2Drive is the best 2 seater kart in the world.
- Lets youngsters experience karting.
- Only used during "Family" sessions.
Your Safety
At Slideways Go Karting World the safety of our racers is our number one priority here. We want you to have a safe and fun time while you are with us!
- All Drivers receive a safety briefing before driving on track.
- Helmets and neck braces provided.
- Karts are fitted with seatbelts and all the appropriate safety guards, to keep drivers safe.
- Balaclavas are used with Slideways helmets for hygiene purposes.
- The track is lined with a safety barrier system.
- Full length LED safety lighting shows track status.
- Trained Track Marshalls supervise all sessions.
- We meet and exceed all safety requirements for the industry.

Do we need to book?
Absolutely, bookings are essential! Your best bet before heading to the track is to speak to one of our friendly staff by calling (07) 5546 6566 to make a booking, or click here to book online.
Are there any age, weight, height or general restrictions?
All of our karts have adjustable seats and pedals, ensuring your racing experience is as comfortable as possible.
The minimum height for racing our Pro and Intermediate karts is 145cm, while the kart manufacturer has set maximum driver weight at 130kg. You need to be 14 years old to drive the Pro karts, and 11 years old to drive the Intermediate karts.
For the Cadet karts, the drivers need to be 120cm tall and at least 7 years old.
We also have dual karts for passengers with a height of 100-130cm and at least 4 years old (combined driver and passenger weight of 130kg, with the driver being at least 18 years old).
If you have a heart condition - bad back - bad neck - broken bones - pacemaker - surgery - recovering from an illness - pregnant you are not permitted to ride the go karts at this venue.

What is your alcohol policy?
Due to OH&S and insurance considerations, as well as safety of our customers and employees, we have a firm 0.00 blood alcohol content policy. This means we cannot serve alcohol and do have a zero alcohol on venue policy. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who we suspect is intoxicated by drugs or alcohol. Slideways Go Karting is a blast and the racing will keep everyone more than entertained! We have a full range of soft drinks here to keep everyone hydrated until the racing is done and you can head off afterwards to celebrate.
How fast are the karts?
The karts are capable of up to 70kph – the legal limit for hire go karts.
On our track, the karts are set up for sheer speed, and fast lap times are achieved by driving nice and straight off the corners. More info can be found on our go karts page.

What clothing is required?
T-shirts and shorts are fine, however covered shoes are required. Thongs, sandals, scarves, hoodies and loose clothing items are not allowed for safety reasons. We do the best we can to keep the karts as clean as possible, but we don’t recommend wearing your Sunday best. This is go karting, wear clothes that you don’t mind if they get a little dirty.
Can we wear our own helmet?
You are welcome to bring your own helmet, as long as its full face, complies with the AS1698 standard/SNELL/ECE and has a visor.
Motorcross style helmets are acceptable so long as you wear goggles. Unfortunately open face helmets are no longer acceptable. All long hair needs to be tied up and a hairnet must be used to secure long hair, even if you are using your own helmet.
Many of our helmets already have GoPro mounts attached, so be on the lookout before you hit the track.
How long is the track?
The International Nurburgring Circuit is 700m long, and features massive undulations, banked corners, sweepers and fast straights!
On all Slideways tracks, each race lasts for 10 minutes with an average driver doing approximately 10-12 laps.

Do you have a courtesy bus?
We are proud to partner with Con-X-ion to offer transfers from many popular locations across the Gold Coast to our outdoor track at Pimpama. Simply go to “Theme Park Transfers”, then select your pick up location and time.
Public transport options are available on the Translink website.

Do you sell any food and beverages?
We have a range of cold drinks, chips, confectionery and ice creams available for sale on site.
Do parents have to sign in children?
Yes – all drivers aged under 18 years old require a parent/guardian to sign them in at check-in.
Can we bring our own go kart?
Unfortunately Slideways Go Karting Venues are for hire karts only, and we do not have facilities for maintaining privately owned karts.
