We kicked our first round of the race season with an absolute blast! Firstly a massive thank you to everyone who competed and to the parents and supporters cheering on the sidelines it created an awesome atmosphere!
Our Cadets class were the first to hit the track and they were raring to go! Just one hundredth separated Luke Wilson and Brock Helm in qualifying with Annabel Kennedy rounding out the top 3. The first race saw the top 3 all hold positions with a mid pack shuffle happening between Daniel Sullivan and Ellie Wilson. Race 2 saw Annabel Kennedy claim her first race win holding off the rest of the race pack with a 2 second gap! The final race saw Luke Wilson reclaim the top step just narrowly inching out Daniel Sullivan with a 0.089 gap! Brock Helm followed not far behind to round out the top 3.

It was tough competition for our Juniors with a field of 13! Luc Jacobsen came out swinging narrowly edging out Jordyn Durrington & Carter Skewes to claim pole. For Race 1 Jordyn Durrington & Carter Skewes would jump Luc Jacobsen to finish 1,2 & 3 respectively. For Race 2 Jude Livermore who finished 6th in Race 1 would spearhead his way to the top with a 2 second gap back to 2nd claimed by Luc Jacobsen & Carter Skewes rounded out the top 3. For the final race it would be a return to the top for the original pole sitters. Luc Jacobsen would claim the win by a massive 4.8 seconds to 2nd place Carter Skewes & 3rd would be claimed by Jordyn Durrington.

Opens qualifying was topped by Chaad Hewitt, Chaad who was last years Juniors winner didn’t mess around making a statement to his fellow competitors, Brodie Smith came 2nd with Ben Hoffman coming 3rd. Race 1 saw Chaad Hewitt & Ben Hoffman dualing it out for the top spot. After an aggressive maneuver up the inside Chaad made heavy contact and failed to readdress the position. This saw him receive a penalty making Ben Hoffman the number 1, Brodie Smith 2nd & Chaad Hewitt 3rd. Race 2 saw Chaad Hewitt regain his composure to take the win with a 4.6 second gap to Ben Hoffman. Daniel Connor rounded out the podium with 3rd place. The final race saw everyone hold their positions with Chaad Hewitt once again taking the win & Ben Hoffman & Daniel Connor taking 2nd & 3rd.
